Once you make it through the maze of slot machines, cigarette smoke, and lost winnings, you’ve arrived at NYY Steak.

The entrance and lobby are surprisingly dull, and don’t do the restaurant any justice, but once you walk past the hostess stand you may just hear angels singing from the heavens. The sight of the impending buffet is almost pleasurably overwhelming. You’ll find yourself scoping out your first plate while still being escorted to your table. We sat on the outdoor patio, which was surprisingly comfortable. If you like a little more privacy, want to avoid the crowds of buffet goers walking around your table, and it’s a nice day, then sit outside.

The buffet offers a wide variety of delicious options. They have a raw bar, which offers jumbo cocktail shrimp, Alaskan king crab, Jonah crab claws, and freshly shucked oysters. BEST PART – The crab legs and claws are already cracked! Stuffing your mouth just got so much easier! I suggest starting at the raw bar.

As for hot foods, they offer a prime rib & ham carving station, lamb chops, steak & eggs, scallops & risotto, eggs Benedict, and many more. The scallops were by far the best I’ve ever tasted! They melt in your mouth, and the flavor was phenomenal. However, I would not suggest the eggs Benedict. The poached egg gets overcooked in the food warmer, and is no longer the delicious runny dish it’s meant to be. They also use bacon, instead of Canadian bacon, and I’m more of a traditional eggs Benedict type of gal.
They also offer a pancake station, a crepe & banana foster station, and an omelet & eggs station. You can order from these stations from your server, or you can get them yourself. These are nice additions to the buffet, but remember, you can get these at almost any brunch buffet. Don’t fill up on carbs! Get your 75 dollars’ worth!

Oh! I almost forgot…BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS AND BLOODY MARY'S! The Bloody Mary’s are garnished with a lemon, cherry tomato, celery stick, and blue cheese stuffed olive. They offer the Mimosas in traditional orange juice, passion fruit, blueberry, and mango. We didn’t love the passion fruit flavor, but the others were delish! If you’re really taking advantage of those bottomless Mimosas, you can ask your server for a bottle of champagne with a side of orange juice for the table, and make them yourselves.

If you leave room for dessert, they have a TON! They are all absolutely gorgeous, but didn’t blow me away in the flavor department. I did, however, really enjoy the crème brûlée, donuts, and macaroons.

The service was terrific. Our waitress, Ashley, was attentive and down to Earth. She wasn’t hesitant to keep the champagne bottles flowing. The chefs at the chef-attended stations were very friendly, and kept a smile on their faces. Also, there were no tip jars at the chef-attended stations, which is a relief. It takes away the stress of, “Oh no, I don’t have cash, so I can’t enjoy this included feature”.

Overall, I would give NYY Steak’s Sunday Brunch a 4.5 out of 5 stars. For the price, I believe it met expectations. The only disappointments were the eggs benedict (it’s my favorite breakfast dish), and the desserts (flavor wise). I highly recommend NYY Steak Brunch for any special occasion.
